This year’s 17th roundtable main event will take us to Milan this year on the 1st and 2nd of December 2021. The event will be generously hosted by Bocconi University with the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Terra Firma Associates, Agenda Consulting and Devex.
As with previous roundtables, to take advantage of the large numbers of international organizations present in Milan, a career fair on the 3rd of December will be open to all participating multi-lateral organizations.
As always, the Roundtable organizers encourage you to share interesting and innovative initiatives you have been working on in the area of career development and talent management by contributing to the clinics, especially those with a strong link to the 2021 theme. We strive to present a balanced programme, with a healthy mix of contributions from the UN, EU, IFIs, the private sector, and academia and would encourage you to send suggestions for clinics to Michael Emery and Rafael Trejo.
Attendance to this event is on an invitation basis only. Registrations remain subject to review at any time and we reserve the right to decline or cancel specific bookings. Refunds will be done on the basis of the T&Cs of the booking platform used.
This year’s event is made possible with the generous financial support from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the CDR taking place in the iconic UNESCO Headquarters in the heart of Paris. As with previous editions, the CDR is made possible with significant contributions from the International Organization for Migration (IOM), UNESCO, OECD, Sciences Po and our supporting partners Terra Firma Associates, Agenda Consulting and Devex.
CDR XVIII will start with the customary welcome drink on the evening of the 11 December. Following on what I already anticipate will be a lively evening as we reconnect with friends and colleagues, many of whom we will not have seen since the beginning of the Pandemic, we will meet bright and early on Monday 12 December for the launch of two days of presentations and clinics to debate and explore this year’s theme. There will also be a Gala Boat Cruise and Dinner on the evening of 12 December along the Seine.
As in previous years, we are always keen to hear from you with contributions and bright ideas for presentations and clinics (and thank you to those that have already come forward with ideas). We aim to weave these into this year’s event theme or HR Best Practice and again, as always, focus is on sharing the learnings since we were last together. I encourage you to send us your clinic concept pitch (5-10 lines ideal), with a catchy title to get the ball rolling at email@example.com
Our first day will close to the tune of the CDR Awards. A mail will follow shortly with additional information. Be on the lookout for it.
On Saturday, December 10 there will be an in-person Careers Fair hosted by Sciences Po. Brush up your French skills and prepare to meet some great potential from all over the world. We anticipate upwards of 5,000 candidates attending the Fair. Letters of invitation will soon be sent to participating organizations. In advance of this, to register your interest as an exhibitor, please reach us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Attendance to this event is by invitation only. Registrations remain subject to review at any time and we reserve the right to decline or cancel specific bookings. Refunds are subject to the T&Cs specified during the booking process.
